I'm Millie Owusu, a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), holding a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. With over seven years of experience supporting teens and their families in schools, community programs, and private practice, I specialize in helping young people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship challenges. I use evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I’m certified in ASIST suicide prevention.
I have a strong passion for supporting teens facing academic pressure, racial identity concerns, and the stress of high-achieving environments. I also work closely with neurodivergent teens, creating spaces where they feel safe, understood, and accepted. My approach is collaborative and flexible—centered on what feels most important to the teen in the moment, blending clinical tools with real, compassionate connection.
As a Black therapist, I’m committed to offering a culturally affirming space where teens of all backgrounds can be their full selves without fear of judgment. I lead with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity because I know how lonely and overwhelming it can feel to struggle as a teen. My goal is to help young people feel less alone and more in control of their lives.
I offer therapy for teens navigating anxiety, school stress, friendships, identity, and big emotions — while also partnering with parents to build better connection and communication at home.
